Asalaamu alaykum wa rahmahtullahi wabarakahtu,

Alhamdulillah a sister has volunteered to make and sell some delicious food outside the masjid during the end of Saturday School; with ALL proceeds going to the full school appeal.  It is all donated and home-cooked.

The portions are really large filling an entire plate, so have a look and grab some inshaaAllah. It is a tasty rice & semolina savoury biryani. They will be on sale from 3.20pm inshaaAllah.

We would like to thank her and others still putting the effort in and trying their best to help  us to reach our goal.

May Allah reward all of us.

**URGENT UPDATE** BUILDING OFFER ACCEPTED – Funds needed within this month

Asalaamualaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu

We pray that you are all well and in the best of eemaan, and that you are having a productive Ramadhaan.

Brothers and sisters, we have learnt that one of the offers we have put in for a building has been accepted. This happens to be the better buildings that has room for us to expand in. It is close to the masjid, has the appropriate planning as well as good grounds for activities and play areas.

Now that this has been accepted we need the money for the building straight away. We simply cannot miss out on this opportunity. So if you have a donation to give then please give – now is that time to give.

As narrated Haritha bin Wahab: I heard the Prophet (sallalahualayhi wa sallam) saying, “O people! Give in charity as a time will come upon you when a person will wander about with his object of charity and will not find anybody to accept it, and one (who will be requested to take it) will say, “If you had brought it yesterday, would have taken it, but to-day I am not in need of it.” Bukhari Volume 2, Book 24, Number 492.

There is no greater cause to spend your charity on then the correct and good tarbiyyah (cultivation) of the Muslim child. These children will grow into men and women, and they will carry themselves and this deen in the future. With good tarbiyyah they will follow the deen of Allah and know that he the most high should be worshipped alone. Their love of Allah and his deen will mean they will be responsible adults, taking care of their parents in the best way and in old age.

Allah the most high says: “O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families against a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allâh, but do that which they are commanded.”

We need an environment in which our children have the best possible chance of being saved form this fire. We need to give them that chance and opportunity to learn the correct aqeedah (Islamic belief) of the Prophet (sallahualayhi wa sallam) free from changes and distortions.

Please spread this message to each and every single person you know. If the donation is small or large it doesn’t matter so long as it is given for the sake of Allah, then the reward will not be missed inshaa’Allah. As narrated by Adi Bin Hatim : “I heard the Prophet (sallahualayhi wa sallam) saying “save yourself from the hell fire, even by giving half a date fruit in charity.” (Bukhari No. 1417).

So give whatever you can. It is the month of Ramadhaan, so look to yourselves and see whatever it is you can donate for the sake of Allah. Narrated Abu Huraira that the the Prophet (sallahualayhi wa sallam) said “Allah said, ‘O son of Adam! Spend, and I shall spend on you.” Who of us doesn’t want Allah to spend on us?

Give and don’t fear poverty for yourself: “Shaitân (Satan) threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit Fahshâ (evil deeds, illegal sexual intercourse, sins); whereas Allâh promises you Forgiveness from Himself and Bounty, and Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower.” (al Baqarah 268).

Allah says “Who is he that will lend to Allâh a goodly loan so that He may multiply it to him many times? And it is Allâh that decreases or increases (your provisions), and unto Him you shall return.” (Baqarah: 245). Give for the sake of Allah and Allah will multiply it for you by many times!

So we pray that each reader donates and gives and makes du’a for this project to be a success. We hope that every reader can carry this message and spend in charity to purify himself, earn reward and set the foundations for this noble project for the future.

We ask Allah for the good in this life and the good in the hereafter and to save us from the fire of hell.
